The Learning Technology Center
One Central services Suburban Cook County school districts. Currently, 15 Learning Technology Centers
exist throughout the State of Illinois. These centers are funded through the Illinois State Board of
Education's eLearning Program. The purpose of these centers is to provide technology assistance to
schools and districts that supports classroom instruction and student achievement. The resources
provided to suburban Cook County schools are in the form of assistance in technical and network
support, technology planning, e-rate application process, grant applications (both federal and state)
and a variety of workshops, seminars and trainings for administrators, technology support
personnel and classroom teachers.
